The origins of the Passover is explained this way in the Old Testament of the Bible as found in Exodus 12:11-14 and reads as follows: 11 ‘Now you shall eat it in this manner: with your loins girded, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste — it is the Lord’s Passover. 12 ‘For I will go through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike down all the first-born in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments — I am the Lord. 13 ‘And the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you live; and when I see the blood I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt. 14 ‘Now this day will be a memorial to you, and you shall celebrate it as a feast to the Lord; throughout your generations you are to celebrate it as a permanent ordinance. Plenary

The term “plenary” simply means absolutely complete in every way. When used in reference to the Scriptures, it means the Scriptures (Bible) is complete, lacking nothing in its designed content. The 66 books that make up the Bible are all there is, with nothing else to be added or deleted to make then more complete. When someone says they believe in the plenary of the Bible, they are saying the Bible is absolutely complete, lacking nothing to explain God’s revelations to the world. Continue reading

Redemption

Share it with someone:

The term is used in theology to explain the results of the death of Jesus Christ. Because of Christ’s death and coming back to life again, humanity is offered redemption through faith in Jesus Christ. Redemption is the payment of ransom to God for the sins of humanity against God by Jesus Christ. It removes the obligation of payment, on humanities part, to God. In the end, humanity is free from the penalty of death through the action of Christ’s death and resurrection about 2,000 years ago. The requirements to receive this gift of redemption is to have faith in Jesus Christ as Lord of your life, and repent of your sins to God the Father. The Scriptures listed here explain the reasons for the act of God’s redemption of humankind. (Romans 6:23; Mark 1:14-15; Acts 20:20-21) Continue reading

Religious Cult

Religious cults are a group of people following one persons private interpretation of the Christian Bible and do not follow the historical orthodox view of the Holy Scripture. In the end, they are counterfeiters of the true historical Christian faith. These would be groups that deny that Jesus Christ is God by eternal nature or deny the historical Christian teaching on the Trinity of God. They would hold Jesus as “a god” or “prophet of God”, a created been, but not equal to God the Father sharing the same eternal nature, while at the same time denying the existence of the Holy Spirit or hold that the Holy Spirit is not equal to God in sharing the same eternal nature. The early Christian church dealt with this issue by adopting the Nicene/Constantinople Creed in 381 A.D. No religious cult would ever agree to this creed proclamation. Continue reading
